March 13th, at the invitation of U.S. Department of Agriculture, Ms. Haiyan Zhang, CEO of Meitao Company, continues to explore more natural organic food and wineries in Portland, Oregon.


Bob’s Red Mill 鲍勃红磨坊工厂

Bob’s journey began in the mid ’60s after coming across a book about an old stone-grinding flour mill. Unable to shake his vision of operating a flour mill that provided healthy and nutritious food, Bob tirelessly searched for his own set of usable millstones. With a little time and persistence, Bob and his wife found several sets of millstones and began their first mill in Redding, California.

In 1978 the couple left the mill and retired to Oregon City, but fate stepped in one afternoon when Bob came across an old mill that was for sale. A few months later, Bob’s Oregon City based mill was producing stone ground flours and cereals for local customers.

The Bob Moulin mill uses a century-old high-end grinding equipment and process to grind natural grain products. This traditional process can keep the grain nutrition in a frozen natural way. This technology has been used for more than 100 years.


Winter’s Hill Vineyard 冬山酒庄


Founded in 1961, Winter’s Hill is an Estate winery located in the Dundee Hills of Oregon. The Gladhart family owns and operates Winter’s Hill. Thirty five acres of vineyards are nestled into a 150 acre farm including fir and oak forests. The vineyards of the winery are located between the Coast Range and the Cascades, where the climate is cool, the summer is long and mild, and the autumn is damp, making it ideal for Pinot Noir cultivation. 


Pinot Gris is the main white grape variety of the winery. It is a good match with a variety of food, especially with seafood, special and unforgettable taste.

During this trip, Ms. Haiyan Zhang meet with Stone Barn manager, to further explore the whiskey production process and discuss its market potential in China.

George Packing Company 美国最大榛子出口公司




Ms. Haiyan Zhang also visited George Packing Company, the largest hazelnut export company in the U.S. 70% of the company’s annual output is exported to China, and the proportion is growing every year. During the seminar, Ms. Haiyan Zhang focused on the company’s development history, production base and planting methods, and sales in both home and abroad, seeking for further cooperation. 99% of U.S. hazelnut is produced from Willamette Valley in Oregon. The average annual output is about 40,000 tons, because of the local climate and the good amount of rains. Hazelnuts from Oregon are usually bigger and have better quality.
